Had a productive afternoon, whipped up some postcards...
Started with 6 blank 6x4 cards. Placed them together, and ironed on some 'wonder under' over the 6 cards.
Scraps of paper, pieces of hessian, scrim, infact it resembled floor sweepings.. were added over the wonder under.
This is what it looked like............

When all the bits and pieces were  'in place' a hot iron was executed over the lot, to secure it to the cards.
I then turned the 6 cards (now one piece) over and cut up into 6 individual cards again. I trimmed edges, and added odd pieces of wonder under randomly on each card. I then ironed some sheer fabric, an old scarf bought at good sammies, and secured it all.
Even burnt some edges of the sheer and it melted beautifully, creating added texture... (and burnt fingers)
added some machine stitching, as it turned out, the colours were very earthen, so used blue, green and brown thread and did a tight zig zag around shapes....

Quite pleased with the outcome. It resembles an aerial view as you come in to land.. in this postcard the photocopy of 'houses' in black and white has come up really well and looks in context....
just sharing my afternoon, and endeavours.....enjoy!
